Our client, a major manufacturer, is looking to add some warehouse professionals to their team in Idaho Falls, ID.

These long-term contract positions (possibility of extension or direct hire for the right individual) offer a starting pay rate of $20/hour (benefits are available).

The Seed Plant and Warehouse Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting daily operations at the seed treatment and packaging facility. This role focuses on managing processes from seed treatment to packaging by count, ensuring equipment functionality, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining manual and automated seed processing equipment, ensuring product accuracy, and assisting with inventory and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

Seed Processing & Packaging:
- Operate seed counting, bagging, and treating equipment.
- Perform seed counts for packaging and obtain QA samples.
- Monitor packaging quality, including printing, barcoding, and wrapping.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
- Operate and troubleshoot manual and automated equipment.
- Conduct general repairs on machinery such as bag placers, baggers, treaters, and palletizers.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning accurately.

Inventory & Quality Control:
- Track and maintain records of seed weights, bag inventory, and treatment accuracy.
- Assist in inventory counts for chemicals, bags, and carryover seeds.
- Support carryover blending processes based on seed counts.

Cleanliness & Safety:
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining treating and bagging areas.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols for plant operations.

Required Qualifications :

- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment operation and repairs.

- Detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
- Physically capable of handling 55lb bags as needed.

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or plant operations role is a plus.
- Basic understanding of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
