We have a great client that is looking for a Tube Millwright in Warren, MI!


 


The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of stainless-steel tube mill equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. The Stainless-Steel Tube Millwright will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of our client’s tube mill machinery.


 


Current opening: 2nd Shift – 5:30pm to 3:30am




Responsibilities:




Installation and Setup:



  • Assemble, install, and align stainless steel tube mill machinery and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications.

  • Ensure proper calibration and adjustment of equipment for optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to facilitate the efficient installation of new equipment.


Maintenance and Repairs:



  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on stainless steel tube mill machinery to minimize downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective repairs.

  • Replace or repair defective parts, components, or systems as needed.


Quality Control:



  • Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of stainless-steel tube production meets industry standards.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and address any deviations or non-conformities.


Safety Compliance:



  • Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures to create a secure work environment.

  • Participate in safety training programs and promote a safety-first culture among team members.


Documentation:



  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.

  • Provide input for the development of maintenance procedures and documentation.


Team Collaboration:



  • Work closely with other millwrights, machine operators, and production staff to optimize overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Assist in training and mentoring junior millwrights as needed.


Requirements:



  • Proven experience as a Millwright, preferably in stainless steel tube mill operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of tube mill machinery, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality control.


Education and Certifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Millwright certification or relevant vocational training is a plus.
