Job Description :

Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Tech Service & Auto CAD to support their team at their Savannah, GA, site.


 


This contract position (possibility of extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $30.00 - $35.00/hour.


 


 


Work Schedule: 


Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM 
Overtime when needed.


 


 


Position Overview:


We are seeking an experienced P&ID CAD Drafter to join our team within the chemical and refining manufacturing industry. This role requires 5-10 years of industrial experience in P&ID drafting and walkdown, working with a variety of piping equipment and components. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products, with a proven ability to perform on-site field verifications and as-built drawings.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Adhere to company safety standards and procedures

  • Develop and update Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) with minimal supervision

  • Perform redline (as-built) updates to P&IDs from field data

  • Use AutoCAD to create and modify P&ID drawings according to company standards

  • Identify and verify mechanical equipment and piping components in the field

  • Apply knowledge of ISA and piping symbology, along with company Engineering Standards

  • Conduct field verifications to ensure accurate as-built documentation for project closures and process hazard analysis (PHA)

  • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams and maintain a cooperative work environment

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally


 


Required Qualifications :

Qualifications:



  • 5-10 years of industrial experience in P&ID drafting and walkdown in the chemical and refining manufacturing industry

  • Strong knowledge of piping equipment and components such as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, and pipelines

  • Field experience with the ability to wear required PPE

  • Proficiency in AutoDesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of piping process codes, specifications, and engineering standards

  • Authorization to work lawfully in the U.S.
