We have an awesome opportunity in Whitehouse, OH for a Senior Robotics Engineer! 

This is a long-term contract with an hourly pay rate of $55.00-67.00

You should be located within a daily commute of Whitehouse, Ohio (just outside Toledo) or Southfield, Michigan. If Southfield, frequent daytime travel to Whitehouse, Ohio will be required.

This position provides the opportunity to work with robotics, automation solutions, IoT devices, and cloud platforms to design solutions to drive customer value & internal efficiencies.
This core solution is a key part of the digital strategy within Refinish Coatings and will continue to evolve and improve with future advancements. This solution is globally used, and thus, requires a “global mindset and approach” throughout the development process. In addition, your ability to act entrepreneurially and communicate effectively within a global agile team will result in successful ability to develop, launch, and improve the product portfolio.

The selected candidate will work closely with other team members to ensure the portfolio meets the regional needs of various stakeholder groups. Working in an Agile methodology, you will be expected to take on a senior role – serving as a mentor and example of how to develop application solutions to accomplish Sprint and Release goals/timelines. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your experience working with Robotic or automation solutions, your ability to manage time effectively, and complete work before the end of an Agile Scrum Sprint Cycle.

Required Qualifications :
The right candidate will have:

• Bachelor's in Robotics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Kinematics, Engineering or Software Engineering and your experience working in an entrepreneurial / start-up type setting, you will develop on robotic solutions in accordance with Sprint and Release goals/timelines.
• Demonstrating your experience in development (C++, BIT & cmake, Ubuntu) and application development & testing tools, along with current working knowledge of modern and recent development tools, you will architect & maintain robotics solutions.
• Strong Robotics experience and knowledge of kinematics as this role will be responsible for ROS, PLC programming, teach pendant’s, path planning, etc.
• Experience as a developer will be essential as you migrate code between environments and ensure up-time, security and functionality.
• Working as a team player, you will be open to completing other tasks and duties as assigned or that may arise from a complex, dynamic working environment.
• Applying your familiarity with reading and creating complex flow charts, you will assist in the development of new features, including technical specifications, writing code, and following best practices that allow agile deployment.
