Job Description :
Major automotive supplier has an immediate need for a contract Retirement Plan Specialist at their Southfield, MI, corporate HQ. 

 

 


Position Focus              


 


Responsible for day to day administration of Savings Plans (Hourly and Salaried with varied plan designs).




 


 


Responsibilities 



  • Manage multiple vendors to ensure accurate and timely services to plan participants

  • Work with internal groups such as HR,IT and Payroll to resolve processing and/or data issues

  • Engage with Plant and Division personnel to assist with questions and/or issues relating to retirement savings plans

  • Review ongoing/necessary reports to ensure accuracy of data transmission from Payroll system. Audit,identify and  make necessary  corrections  to participant data as needed

  • Interpret plan provisions for general plan administration (eligibility, service, employer match, non-matching contributions, etc.) as necessary

  • Prepare  written  communications as  needed  for  all  levels  of employees  to explain  plan provisions,IRS, DOL, or PBGC regulations for qualified and non- qualified pension and savings plans


Required Qualifications :
 

Qualifications



  • 4 year degree strongly preferred 

  • 3-5 years related experience, preferably in a benefit management role

  • Good working knowledge of 401k benefit plan administration

  • Experience working with union and non-union employee populations a plus

  • Working knowledge of IRS, DOL and PBGC regulations for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans strongly preferred
