Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, has an immediate need for a Research Technician for their facility in Sabin, MN.

This is a long-term contract position (with the possibility of extension or direct hire) with a pay rate of $26/hour. 

Position Purpose and Major Responsibilities:
The Research Technician will support operations in the Soybean Breeding program in collaboration with local breeding and agronomy teams. This position is based in Sabin, MN.

• Perform activities in greenhouse and field environments, including crossing blocks, planting, harvesting, seed processing, and maintaining seed inventories.


• Collect data at nurseries and field trials.


• Conduct laboratory activities such as collecting leaf samples, manipulating plant tissues, and setting up experiments following established protocols.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.


• Comply with safety, quality management systems (QMS), stewardship directives, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Associate’s/Technical degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields preferred.


• Experience working in field and greenhouse environments is desired.


• Ability to work independently and manage assigned activities efficiently.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Ability to travel domestically.
