Quality Inspector

Job Description :

The GP-12 Inspector is responsible for conducting visual inspections of the parts on the production floor at the machine, as well as performing various quality control inspections and approving materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests. This role involves rejecting unacceptable material, ensuring that the product fulfills all customer specifications and quality requirements. The Inspector also independently performs a wide range of duties under general guidance from supervisors.


 
We have openings on 1st Shift  7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday ($12.00 an hour)
2nd Shift 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday-Thur 3pm-7pm Friday ($12.75 an hour)



Key Duties and Responsibilities:


·        Record on plant safety issues.


·        Ability to understand, fill out and file daily inspection sheets.


·        Must be able to perform hourly inspection audits.


·        Record and plot SPC data as needed.


·        Perform gage and cap studies as needed.


·        Must be able to lift 35 lbs. and walk / or stand for 3 hours between breaks.


·        DMR tag, rework and containment facilitator.                        


·        Assist in the 8-D process as needed at or for LTC.                                          


Perform any function as needed in relation to Quality and / or the Quality department.    


JOB QUALIFICATIONS


·        Ability to measure with caliper/micrometer and other related tools and gages.


·        Basic understanding of the use and plotting of SPC.


·        Ability to use and understand basic fixture gaging.


·        Working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
