Job Description :
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a contract QC Lab Technician to support production at its Greenville, Ohio, site.
This is a long-term contract role with a starting pay rate of $25.00/hour. For the right candidate, an extension or direct hire is possible. Benefits are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods using HPLC, GC, and other analytical methods (e.g., particle size analyzer, viscometer, density meter).
- Document and report analytical data accurately following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage laboratory consumables, including inventory of HPLC columns, reference standards, and control samples.
- Identify and implement improvements in laboratory processes and workflows.
- Escalate Out-of-Spec materials to the QC Lab Supervisor for review.
- Adhere to all quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Required Skills:
- Strong math and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Solid knowledge of analytical techniques and proper chemical handling, use, storage, and disposal.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including rotating shifts and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a science-related field.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, pH meters, and wet chemistry methods.
- Familiarity with microbiological analysis.
- Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft PowerPoint, and prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
