Our client, a large chemical manufacturer, is seeking two QA plant Monitors to join its team! 

 

  

This is a long-term contract role (possible extension or direct hire) with a pay rate of $22.74 (benefits available). 

 

 


Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Plant Monitor/Truck Sampler-De-linter to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring quality standards for cottonseed in both raw and processed forms. The candidate will be responsible for conducting plant monitoring tests and performing quality checks to verify that production meets required specifications. You will work in an industrial, warehouse, and lab environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct truck sampling and perform sample de-linting and other quality checks.

  • Perform tests such as acid percentage, dryer and buffer temperatures, bushel weights, pH, cleanout percentages, seed count, tare analysis, and seed appearance.

  • Inspect packaged finished products to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Assist with variety cleanouts and enter data into the Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet.

  • Report deviations in quality parameters and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safe work practices.

  • Cross-train in the QA Lab for fuzzy seed testing as needed.

  • Work closely with other team members in an industrial/warehouse environment.

  • Utilize lab equipment, including temperature probes, pH meters, scales, bushel weight apparatus, and seed counters.

  • Interact with industrial equipment such as delinter, dryers, buffers, conveyors, and forklifts.

  • Assist with re-bagging and other duties as assigned.


SHIFT 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM 


 



 


Required Qualifications :

Qualifications:



  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in an industrial and warehouse setting, standing and walking for long periods.

  • Experience with lab equipment and quality control testing preferred.

  • Ability to follow SOPs and WIs closely and accurately report deviations.

  • Must be flexible with work shifts, including first and second shifts depending on business needs.

  • Ability to wear and comply with PPE requirements, including safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, boots, N95 mask, and hardhat (provided).

  • High School or GED
