Job Description :

Our specialty OEM client has an exciting LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity for a Project Manager at Rock Island Arsenal. Military or military supplier background is preferred.


 


Due to the governmental nature of the work, only US Citizens and Green Card Holders will be considered.  




The successful Project Manager on this long-term contract assignment can expect to do the following:


·         Position will provide the oversite of the manufacturing integration of the RIA supplier as it impacts the production at MMC


·         Responsible for all material flow through the manufacturing site: From dock to line-side to FG.


·         Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; support the preparation and completion action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.


·         Acts as the POC for MMC operations at RIA and coordinates with all necessary and appropriate internal and external supporting organizations as it relates to ensuring the RIA supplier executed IAW approved plans.


·         Responsible to coordinate with all necessary and appropriate internal and external supporting organizations to ensure the program/project is executed


·          Develop and record relevant metrics, KPIs for manufacturing operations.


·         Must be able to obtain consensus, communicate project updates, provide direction and deliver.


·         Managing project management (planning and control) systems and tools such as: Contract and Subcontract Management, Systems Engineering Process, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, Work Break Down Structure, as well as supporting the Program office as needed for  Program Management Reviews, Major Milestone Reviews, Capture and Proposal Plans, Internal Budget Development and Business Case Development.


·         Responsible to generate appropriate reports and briefings to provide senior management the necessary information to make critical program business decisions in a timely manner.


·         Conduct effective meetings and reviews with both internal and external customers ensuring customer requirements, project plans and company objectives are met in a timely manner. 


 


Looking for experience with:


 


·         Expertise with typical project management (planning and control) systems and tools such as: New Business Development, Contract and Subcontract Management, Systems Engineering Process, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, Work Break Down Structure, Program Management Reviews, and Major Milestone Reviews.


·         Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. 


·         Extensive travel required.


·         Demonstrated strategic and tactical planning to address customer needs and company goals.


·          


·         Additional skills/experience includes:



  • Must be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.

  • Must be able to build consensus, make a decision, provide direction and deliver.




Bachelor Degree, with a concentration in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical or electrical) or bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience is preferred for this Project Management role.


 


The pay rate will range from $38-$44/hour.
