We have a great client that is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator in the Carolinas!
Position Overview: Seeking a driven Project Manager/Estimator to support growth in the Carolinas. In this key role, you’ll manage project schedules, prepare accurate estimates, and solve challenges to ensure successful project execution.
Key Activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Create a comprehensive project plan that includes timelines, milestones, resources, and budgets.
- Analyze project requirements, blueprints, and specifications to understand scope and feasibility.
- Visit project sites to gather critical information and assess conditions.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs, prepare budgets, submit bids, and perform post-estimate reviews to ensure accuracy and assess project performance.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clear accountability and efficient workflow.
- Proactively identify potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Continuously monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
- Track project expenses to ensure adherence to the budget.
- Allocate resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Address concerns, provide regular updates, and manage expectations throughout the project.
- Proactively address and resolve any roadblocks or conflicts to ensure continuous project progress.
- Ensure quality standards are set, consistently followed, and any issues are promptly addressed throughout the project.
- Handle daily office duties to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of the North Carolina facility.
Professional Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction project management or estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for site visits as needed.
