Job Description :

Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for energetic, self-starters to join their team in Livonia as a contract Production Techs/Drummer.



This is a long-term contract position currently budgeted for 12 months with possibility of extension or direct hire. 



Overview



The Production Tech/Drummer's primary responsibility is to perform warehouse duties in direct support of manufacturing.



Responsibilities





  • Production Tech/Drummer is responsible for filling drums and totes with liquid polyurethane products. 

  • Drummers operate sit-down propane fork trucks as they move full and empty containers around the plant. 

  • Working in a safe manner at all times is top priority.




Basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good communication skills are required.




The successful candidate must be self-motivated and be willing to take the initiative to demonstrate their full capabilities. 









Schedule: 


2nd Shift: 1:30 PM - 10 PM (Monday - Friday)


**Overtime as needed**




Pay Rate: 


$19.00/Hour






 



 


 




Required Qualifications :



 




Requirements:

  • 1 year fork truck experience required.

  • Experience handling steel drums and IBC totes is a plus.

  • Ability to read, write and speak english fluently.

  • Good interpersonal skills are mandatory in a team oriented environment.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Valid Driver License Required
