Marketing Analyst II
Our client, a major utility company, is looking for a Marketing Analyst to work with their team in Detroit, MI.
*This long-term contract position offers a starting pay rate of $38.46/hour (benefits are available).*
* Position is a hybrid role (selected candidate must work up to 3 days/week in the office). *
Job Summary
This role is focused on new growth opportunities for Electric Sales and Marketing. Candidate should have demonstrated experience and examples of business growth and/or evaluating new opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
1) Market Analysis, Benchmarking, and residential/commercial business opportunity identification
a) Managing the new product development teams ideas, weekly input, and tracking progress for review in weekly team meetings and executive updates
b) Forecasting opportunities by revenue potential, margin impacts, customer acquisitions, and customer satisfaction (Financial modeling)
c) Developing benchmarking methodology for current products/services and new products/services with utilities and non-utility offerings
d) assess market data, identify opportunities, and contribute to strategic planning.
2) Marketing support
a) Identifying and developing go-to-market strategies for new products/services.
b) Develop clear communication plans for the marketing team to execute in accordance with the business plan.
3) Business case development
a) Follow all procedures and internal policies to coordinate product offerings cross functionally.
b) Identify and communicate with key stakeholders internally, externally, and across different levels.
4) General Duties
a) Collect and analyze data related to business operations -this includes financial reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics.
b) keep detailed records of projects, processes, and operations to help track progress, share insights, and ensure continuity.
c) Identify key requirements for product development.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (or a business-related discipline), Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a relevant curriculum & 5-plus years of relevant work experience.
Preferred
- Experience with utilities, project management
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of sources and alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
- Advanced project management skills, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting skill sets.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and use process design outcomes to identify and solve problems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to create presentations and showcase findings to executive-level leaders.
- Ability to be self-governing as well as work in a ‘team’ and/or ‘matrixed’ structure, supporting multiple clients, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to cope with multiple demands from leadership, customers, and staff in a positive and professional manner; displays a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Initiates new ideas and approaches; challenges orthodox practices and approaches with reasonably sound alternatives.
- 3+ years working with Microsoft Office suite and other software applications utilized by the business unit
