A Specialty OEM has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Mishawka, IN.  


 


This is a long-term contract opportunity with a pay rate of $35-38/hour. 






Due to the governmental basis of the work, only US Citizens and Green Card Holder will be considered.




There is a Covid-19 vaccine requirement for this opportunity.






The Manufacturing Engineer in this role will be responsible for: 



  • Creating and maintaining complete and accurate illustrated assembly instructions. This includes assembly sequence and special tool/fixture requirements.

  • Provide floor support for manufacturing as required with technical engineering services involving all phases of production.

  • Problem solving of current assembly problems and evaluate tooling requirements to assure a quality product

  • Lead and participate in the implementation of Lean Six Sigma and ISO standard tools within the assembly process flow

  • Interacting with production employees, supervisors, quality acceptance, design engineering, industrial engineering, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and customers


 


Required Qualifications :
 The requirements for this role include: 


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering

  • 3-5 years of automotive assembly knowledge

  • Ability to read blueprints, illustrate, and have experience in Unigraphics or similar 3D CAD.

  • Program knowledge of SAP, PLM++, UGNX and Teamcenter for creation of assembly instructions
