Great client in Sanford is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for executing maintenance tasks while following all FDA, GMP, and SOP standards. The mechanic will properly clean and set up packaging machinery prior to the production run as well as troubleshoot machinery and equipment during production run to minimize down time. This position will need to understand quality specifications of each product and work with the production team and ensure that they are met. The mechanic is responsible for maintaining the equipment and machinery in clean working order and assisting in maintaining adequate inventory of parts and supplies. Finally, the mechanic will maintain tools and work area in a clean and orderly manner.



·         Machine Set-ups

·         Assure all production equipment is set up and ready for daily production. You will follow the current SOP’s for the plant and production machinery

·         Minimize Down Time

·         Trouble shoots machinery and equipment during production runs to minimize down time. Maintain the equipment and machinery in clean working order. Assist in adequate inventory parts and supplies

·         Preventative Maintenance Program

·         Execute general maintenance as indicated by our Preventative Maintenance Program

·         General Building Maintenance

 Executing general building maintenance to insure the factory building facility meets the federally GMP required standards, and safety guidelines required by OSHA.

3rd shift; 10:30 pm to 7am, Sunday to Thurs (5 days)



Required Qualifications :
Position Requirements:

·         High school diploma or GED required

·         Certificate in machinery equipment preferred

·         Knowledge and experience working with packaging equipment and machinery

·         Knowledge and experience working with mechanical, electrical and pneumatic controls

·         Knowledge and the ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and standards

·         Follow standard operating procedures on setting up equipment as well as preventive maintenance schedules and expectations

·         Ability to work well with others or independently

·         Knowledge and ability to follow standard safety procedures

·         Ability to work with the production team to accomplish common goals

·         Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly for extended periods of time

          Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedl
