Job Description :


Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a contract QC Lab Tech to work onsite at their production facility in Muskegon, MI. 

This position performs routine and some non-routine testing on all samples in the quality control laboratory, providing analytical data to support; process control, quality control for product release, effluent treatment, process development, quality assurance of raw materials, effluent treatment, and process development.

The QC Tech will work with raw material, in-process and final product specifications, follow documented procedures and use standard lab techniques to take analytical measurements.



  • Analyzing and reporting of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods samples.

  • Promptly and accurately record, calculate and report analytical results using SAP database.

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records, a clean/safe work area and communicating results to internal and external customers.

  • Assist in the preparation of testing solutions. 

  • Support Quality Systems such as ISO, cGMP, RCMS, and NCM. 

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.




After a training period (schedule 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM), the position will be 12-hour night shift. (6 PM - 6 AM - rotating)

Required Qualifications :


  • Previous experience in a production/manufacturing lab environment

  • Knowledge of test methods, processes, and laboratory equipment for raw material, liquid and finished products.

  • Must be comfortable working with hazardous materials and understanding the proper chemical handling, use, storage and disposal and safety equipment

  • Ability to coordinate and perform multiple/concurrent tasks in an accurate, efficient manner.

  • Must have knowledge of lab equipment such as balances, and titration equipment.

  • Bachelor of Science or High School Diploma + 5 years of experience


Position is on the 2nd shift, However, candidates must be able to work occasional overtime as well as 12-hour rotational shift schedule as needed.
