Job Description :
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technician to play a critical role in maintaining and improving their operations at their Parma, ID facility!
These long-term contract positions (possibility of extension or direct hire for the right individual) offer a starting pay rate of $35/hour (benefits are available).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled tasks and repair equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain and improve equipment reliability through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Work with maintenance supervision, technicians, engineers, and production personnel to design and modify plant equipment.
- Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including:
- Mechanical seals
- Gearboxes
- Drive couplings
- Agitators
- Pumps
- Rigging
- Welding and pipe fabrication
- Operate general shop equipment such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and power tools.
- Follow all safety regulations, maintain housekeeping standards, and actively participate in safety meetings.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for production demands, with availability for overtime, weekends, and after-hours work as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Computer literacy and basic proficiency with software tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to bend, kneel, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and reach above shoulder level.
- Manual dexterity for wrist turning, finger manipulation, and grasping.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights and within hazardous locations.
