Tier 1 auto supplier has an immediate need for an HR Generalist to support their site in Wentzville, MO.  This contract position is currently budgeted at one year with possibility of extensions and the pay is in the mid $30s per hour, DOE.


 


Provides HR solutions which support and contribute to the achievement of corporate strategic and tactical goals. Actively participates in the planning and roll-out of HR initiatives such as competency model development, performance management design, compensation strategy and bonus planning. Other required competencies include employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and succession planning. Responsible for defining and directing execution of annual HR plans; acting as change agent to drive organizational transformation; ensuring leaders have HR support needed to meet annual objectives; and working closely with management to satisfy critical talent and performance requirements.


 


SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible to assist the Human Resource Manager in every facet of the human resource function with a primary focus on administrative process and practices.


 


TASKS


1 Sets up/oversees benefits and consultants with insurance companies re: policy interpretation, etc.


2 Back-up for Human Resource Manager, benefits administrator and worker’s compensation claims processing.


3 Handles labor relations issues and counsels employees as required.


4. Prepares confidential correspondence and reports.


5. Assists in recruitment, interviewing and hiring.


6. Develops utilization of HRIS.


7. Coordinates the gathering of Data for tracking specific items for review.


8. Coordinates attendance tracking.


9. Special projects assignments from HR Manager


10. Undertakes or coordinates special projects and reports.


11. Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed.


12. Follow all safety, ISO14001/TS16949 procedures.


 


QUALIFICATIONS • Four-year College Degree or pursuant of degree. • Experience as a Human Resource Generalist with proficiencies in benefits administration, WCB claim management and administration of collective agreements is preferred. • Experience in health & safety management knowledge is preferred. • Computer literacy and the ability to adapt to impacts of changing legislation and work environment. • Good communication and organizational skills.
