Farm Technician
Location: Esparto, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr (Benefits Available) 

Contract Duration:  6- 8 months (possible extension or direct hire) 

Key Responsibilities

Crop Management

• Collaborate with breeding, operations, and marketing teams to execute crop-related tasks efficiently.


• Ensure crops are grown successfully and support breeding projects with technical improvements.


• Maintain quality and timeliness in daily work while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

Resource Management

• Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, trucks, forklifts, and power tools, safely and effectively.


• Troubleshoot, repair, and install basic irrigation systems.


• Prepare and mix pesticides, fertilizers, and disinfectants with precision.

General Duties

• Perform critical tasks outside standard working hours, such as crop irrigation, pest control, and growth monitoring (with compensation).


• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and security of farm premises.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• 3+ years of experience in farm operations, agriculture, or crop management.


• Experience operating tractors and applying pesticides.


• Valid Driver’s License (Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License preferred).


• Knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance.


• Familiarity with crop management concepts, including pest control, irrigation, and nutrition.


• Strong understanding of farm safety principles.


• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
