Are you passionate about agriculture and looking to grow your skills in crop management and farm operations? Our client is seeking a dedicated Farm Technician to join their team in Esparto, CA. Farm Technician
Location: Esparto, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr (Benefits Available)
Contract Duration: 6- 8 months (possible extension or direct hire)
Key Responsibilities
Crop Management
- Collaborate with breeding, operations, and marketing teams to execute crop-related tasks efficiently.
- Ensure crops are grown successfully and support breeding projects with technical improvements.
- Maintain quality and timeliness in daily work while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Resource Management
- Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, trucks, forklifts, and power tools, safely and effectively.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install basic irrigation systems.
- Prepare and mix pesticides, fertilizers, and disinfectants with precision.
General Duties
- Perform critical tasks outside standard working hours, such as crop irrigation, pest control, and growth monitoring (with compensation).
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and security of farm premises.

Working Conditions:

Required Qualifications :
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in farm operations, agriculture, or crop management.
- Experience operating tractors and applying pesticides.
- Valid Driver’s License (Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License preferred).
- Knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with crop management concepts, including pest control, irrigation, and nutrition.
- Strong understanding of farm safety principles.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
