Job Description :

  • Description: Functioning as an Ergonomist, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical ergonomic support for new and current vehicle programs.  The Ergonomist will be responsible for driving optimization of worker interfaces associated with automotive manufacturing using Digital Human Modeling, physical assessments, ergonomic standards and analysis tools to identify risk factors and recommendations associated with product, process, tooling, material handling, workstation design and process.

  • Requirements:
    •Bachelor’s degree in Ergonomics, Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, Human Engineering or related Engineering field.

    •Minimum 2 years of experience applying ergonomic principles and ergonomic analysis tools in a manufacturing setting

    •Knowledge and/or proficiency in primary and secondary ergonomic analysis tools including: 

    -Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications

    -Siemens virtual assembly products (e.g. Classic Jack, Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, Process Simulate)

    -Strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills

    Will be required to drive a company car.  A valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.   

    Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

    Will be required to work from Auburn Hills location 1 day per week.
