Diesel Technicians- Entry Level- Sacramento- $15/hr
- Knowledgeable and/or able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Knowledgeable and/or able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Knowledgeable and/or able to control operations of equipment or systems.
- Knowledgeable and/or able to conduct tests and inspections processes to evaluate quality or performance of commercial vehicles.
- Knowledgeable and/or able to determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Knowledgeable and/or able to perform all job requirements within safety guidelines.
Job Duties include but are not limited to
- Driving a Service Vehicle
- Working under a Lead Technician from a fully equipped and functional mobile service vehicle, serving customers throughout Northern California
- Performing oil change and all lubrication services associated with medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers
- Assisting with or performing BIT and DOT inspections in compliance with State and Federal requirements.
- Performing light repairs and adjustments including lights bulbs, lenses, mud flaps, clutch and brake adjustments, electrical troubleshooting, air system leak troubleshooting, etc...
- Responding throughout the day to different tasks as dictated by the changing demands and needs of the business; "Go with the Flow" in a fluid environment.
- Working up to 10 hours of overtime per week as required by workload
- Performing high quality maintenance and inspection services for commercial fleet vehicles
- Delivering an exceptional customer service experience for everyone at the job site
- Maintaining the highest safety and quality standards associated with work performed
Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) and
Post-Secondary Certificate - awarded for training completed after high school (minimum of one year auto/diesel trade school certificate / degree earned; or an equivalent of one year automotive / diesel experience)
