Job Description :
We have an exciting opportunity with a mobile fleet maintenance company in Northern California. They are seeking a skilled Repair Technician. 

 


The selected Repair Tech will perform diagnosis / repair assignments for all major truck and trailer system components at a proficient level (90% or better) and in compliance with all company policies and procedures.


 


Job Duties: 


 


Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment


Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs for medium to heavy duty commercial fleet vehicles; includes all major vehicle systems: Engine, Drive-Train, Brakes, Suspension, steering, electrical, and computer diagnostics. 


The job duties will include but will not be limited to



  • Adjusting or setting mechanical controls or components

  • Aligning or adjusting clearances of mechanical components or parts

  • Aligning or adjusting clearances of vehicle body parts or components

  • Aligning vehicle frame

  • Assembling, dismantling, or reassembling equipment or machinery

  • Conducting tests to locate mechanical system malfunction

  • Diagnosing malfunctioning vehicle systems

  • Diagnosing mechanical problems in machinery or equipment

  • Examining vehicle to detect malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needed

  • Reading ROs (Repair Orders), schematics, technical drawings; work orders, instructions, formulas, or charts

  • Inspecting machinery or equipment to determine adjustments or repairs needed

  • Lubricating machinery, equipment, or parts

  • Maintaining or repairing industrial or related equipment/machinery

  • Maintaining welding machines or equipment

  • Overhauling industrial or construction machinery or equipment

  • Overhauling vehicle major operating units, such as engines or transmissions

  • Repairing and / or replacing malfunctioning or worn mechanical components

  • Repairing and maintaining Electronic Equipment

  • Servicing vehicle with water, fuel, or oil

  • Testing mechanical products or equipment

  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or material before or after repair

  • Making decisions and solving Problems

  • Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings

  • Communicating with supervisors, peers, or subordinates

  • Establishing and maintaining company-customer relationships

  • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work



 

Required Education:

 


Post-Secondary Certificate 
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree)
Some College Courses
