Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a Cottonseed QA Technician to join their team in Bapchule, AZ!


 


This contract position is budgeted for 12 months (with possible extension or direct hire) and offers a pay rate of $22.68 hourly (benefits available) 


 


 


 In this role, you'll collaborate with the Quality Control Lab Supervisor to conduct essential tests on fuzzy cottonseed, processed, and carryover cottonseed to ensure adherence to quality standards. You'll perform various tests including Truck Sampling, Moisture, Temperature, Free Fatty Acid, Genetic Purity, and more. Attention to detail and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) are paramount.


 


This position requires working near/with other team members daily, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and following safe work practices. Most testing involves standing at workstations and interacting with industrial equipment such as hydraulic presses, seed dryers, and centrifuges. Labware includes glass beakers, test tubes, and Petri dishes, with safe handling of lab chemicals.


 


While primarily in an indoor lab environment, some roles may involve periodic work in the Cotton Plant QA Lab. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, including safety glasses, lab coats, gloves, safety boots, and hard hats. Cross-training in the Plant Quality Assurance Lab is expected. A background in biology, lab experience, or agriculture is preferred.


 


This opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of $20/hr, with a work schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Join us in ensuring the highest quality standards in cottonseed production!


Required Qualifications :
 QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Highschool Diploma (Associates Degree or Higher preferred) 

  • A background in biology, lab experience, or agriculture is preferred.
