We have a great client that is looking for a Cost Accountant in Eaton Rapids, MI!

The Cost Accountant will provide financial support and advice to the Plant Controller, Plant General Manager and Chief Financial Officer and Plant Teams, as required.  Be the subject matter expert on all cost/inventory related transactions for the facility.

Experience needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business


• Minimum of 3 years progressive cost accounting experience


• Complete understanding of SCAR (Standard Cost Activity Report) and how it relates to costing of inventory and related relationship with the financial statements


• CPA or CMA designation or international equivalent preferred


• Understand how the part cost structure works and how it relates to gross profit, cost of goods sold and overall profitability


• Responsible assisting the Lean/CI teams


• Prepare financial statements, schedules & government reports


• Liaison with internal/external employees, managers, auditors (and completing their requests), outside customers, corporate officers, other companies
