Job Description :
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a an experienced lab tech to work as a Corrosion Testing Specialist at their Jackson, MI.
This is a long-term contract position (possible extension or direct hire) with a starting pay rate of $26.00/hour (benefits are available).
Overview
The Corrosion Testing Specialist is responsible for performing testing on customer samples, maintaining and operating laboratory equipment, and completing testing reports in an accredited laboratory setting.
Depending on the workload and other priorities as established by the Team Leader or Laboratory Manager, assistance in other functional areas may be required.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 9 am--5 pm
Required Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in the physical sciences or engineering with up to 3 years of industrial laboratory experience- Required
- Ability to lift 50lbs- Required
- Good interpersonal skills, Self-starter, Able to work with minimal or no supervision- Strongly Preferred
