Our client, a major utility company, is looking for a Contract Administrator to join their team in Detroit, MI


 


This is a contract role currently expected to run for 12 months (possibility for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) and a pay rate of $25/hour.


 


The Contract Administrator is responsible for the interface between Supply Chain, Facilities, Management, the customer/client, and vendor to assure contract/contractor compliance.


 


The Contract Administrator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Liaison between supply chain and other business units for contracts, purchase orders, scope of the work and invoice resolution.

  • Gather data and prepare bid documents, terms and conditions, specifications, etc.

  • Attend pre-bid and bid meetings, and site tours to review bid packages and assist in the selection of the contractor.

  • Assure cost of service data relative to invoicing is properly maintained in the work management cost systems.

  • Assure work is performed in adherence with the contract.

  • Approve invoices for processing.

  • Reconcile material and equipment charges to credit card, ERS, and other methods of purchases.


 


 


Required Qualifications :
 Qualifications



  •  Associate Degree in a related field such as Business Administration or Construction Engineering is Required, Bachelor Degree is Preferred  

  • PC proficiency required including experience with MS Office products, Maximo and SAP.

  • 3-5 years of experience Required in one or more of the following areas: 

    • Purchasing

    • Fleet

    • Facilities

    • Billing

    • Accounts payable

    • Contract administration
