Our client is looking for a contract Chemical Lab Tech to work with their team in Beachwood, OH. 






Chemical Lab Techs assist researchers with Catalyst Development and Scale-up. 


As time progresses, Lab Techs are completing a greater number of tasks that previously would have been performed by highly trained chemists. 


Technicians are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance. 


Under the supervision of the researcher and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions. 


They also conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.


In this role, the Lab Tech will primarily be working in the pilot plant operating catalyst processing equipment such as extruder, tableting press, reactors, mixers, dryers, calciners. 




Required Qualifications :


  • BS in Chemistry/Material Science/Chemical Engineering with no experience

  • or Associates degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment or a high school diploma with 3 years of laboratory experience. 

  • Demonstrated experience with instrumentation and analytical methods

  • Excellent laboratory skills, including detailed record keeping and knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and equipment. 

  • Ability to solve a variety of mathematical problems, including accurate calculations for scale up work and variation in chemical components

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must
