Overview



Our client in Iselin, NJ, is looking for a contract Chemical Lab Tech to assist in their catalyst pilot lab



Schedule

Mon-Fri, day shift, Contract duration is 6 months with possible extension



Pay Rate

$25.00/Hour

 

Responsibilities



Working in a team environment under limited daily direct supervision, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare experimental Fluid Catalytic Cracking catalysts using established procedures such as spray drying & calcination

  • Implement experiments, generate reliable data, and interpret results for research projects

  • Coordinate and work effectively with support/service groups to deliver results in a timely manner

  • Organize and store data in electronic databases

  • Process data in the form of tables, graphs, PowerPoint presentations and share with the supervisor and team, as needed

  • Identify hazards and work safely following EH&S (Environmental Health and Safety) guidelines










 









Required Qualifications :
Qualifications




  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Material Science ONLY (no  bio, chem engineering, etc.)

  • Must have excellent laboratory skills, including detailed record keeping, knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and equipment, and cleanliness

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lb.

  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly handle multiple tasks with accuracy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required

  • Experience with catalysts or zeolites is a plus
