Job Opportunity: Lab Technician - Coatings Team
Are you passionate about chemistry and eager to play a pivotal role in advancing innovative coating solutions? Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturer in Charlotte is seeking a talented Chemistry Lab Technicians to join their Architectural Coatings Technical Service lab team.
This long-term contract position offers an hourly pay rate of $21.00 with benefits available.
In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with chemists and other team members to conduct critical experiments, analyze data, and ensure the quality and performance of our products meet and exceed industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on diverse projects in our applications lab, evaluating dispersions, additives, and pigments in paint or colorant formulations to support internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with Chemists, Technical Specialists, and lab colleagues to execute application testing and deliver accurate data promptly.
- Perform experiments according to project guidelines, making astute observations, and adapting approaches as needed.
- Maintain meticulous records of experimental data and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicate findings and insights clearly and comprehensively through detailed reports.
Schedule:
M - F 8:00 A - 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a chemistry-related field with at least 1 year of practical laboratory experience OR Associate's degree in a chemistry-related field with a minimum of 3 years of practical laboratory experience in a chemical-related field OR High School Diploma with 5+ years of practical laboratory experience in a chemical-related field.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Prior experience with coatings or color matching is preferred.
