The Wet Chemistry Elemental Analysis Lab operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, delivering accurate elemental analysis to support research, manufacturing, and quality control efforts.




 


THIS CONTRACT ROLE IS CURRENTLY BUDGETED FOR 8-12 MONTHS WITH AN HOURLY PAY RATE OF $22.10 HOURLY (Possible extension or Direct Hire to the right candidate. Benefits Available) 


 


Job Summary




The Wet Chemistry Elemental Analysis Technician will be responsible for providing quantitative elemental information for submitted samples. The data produced plays a vital role in developing new materials, ensuring product quality, supporting intellectual property cases, and identifying causes of product failures.


 


Key Responsibilities




🔬 Conduct sample preparation for R&D materials, including battery materials, zeolites, and catalysts.
🔬 Analyze prepared samples using ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Ion Chromatography, XRF, and gravimetric methods.
🔬 Maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision.
🔬 Report analytical findings through the LIMS system.
🔬 Investigate non-conforming data and implement corrective actions.
🔬 Assist in developing new wet chemistry and instrument methods.
🔬 Prepare calibration standards and working/reference solutions.
🔬 Adhere to ISO9001 guidelines and company quality policies.


 


 


Required Qualifications :

Qualifications & Experience




Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
✔ Experience handling concentrated acids (HF, HClO4, HCl, HNO3, H2SO4).
✔ Familiarity with Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) and/or Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS).
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
