Job Description :
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a contract Administrative Specialist to support their production site in Livonia, MI.

This contract position is currently budgeted for 5 months (possibility of extension) and offers a pay rate of $25/hour. 


To support the production and maintenance team, the position will require someone who can:
• Process production and maintenance invoices
• Enter production and maintenance purchase requisitions
• Track spending of open orders
• Stock and manage inventory of standard consumable production items for production, maintenance, and office areas
• Engage with suppliers as needed
• Engage with accounts payable as needed



Due to the hands-on nature of manufacturing, the position will be required to work onsite


This is a 40 hour per week position; however, flexibility may be offered as needed.

Required Qualifications :

  • Must have experience navigating payment processing and order entry  

  • Must have experience stocking, inventorying, and tracking standard parts and supplies  

  • Must have strong inter-personal skills and be able to communicate between departments 

  • Must have a strong safety acumen and desire to stay safe 

  • Must have strong computer skills, specifically related to Microsoft Office 

  • Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment 

  • Should have experience working with SAP; however, on the job training is available 

  • Should have a minimum of 5 years in a similar administrative capacity 

  • Should have an associate’s degree or greater in a related field
