Job Description :

Major healthcare system has a need for an Accounting Manager with Big 4 experience at their facility near Seattle!  This contract position is currently scheduled to run just shy of six months with an excellent hourly rate. 


The Accounting Manager can expect to:

• Oversee production and filing of Q4 2019 and Q1 2020 earnings announcements, and SEC filings (10-K and 10-Q) in conformity with GAAP and SEC regulations

• Prepare and review work papers that support aforementioned filings

• Oversee SOX 404 efforts in assigned areas, including documentation of process and facilitating testing of controls



• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting



Required Experience:

• 10+ years in accounting or finance position with progressively challenging experience, including

• 10+ years of SEC reporting experience

• 5 years of supervisory experience

• Workiva financial reporting/filing software


Preferred Experience:

• JDE or comparable ERP system

• Equity Edge or comparable stock plan database

• XBRL fluency

• Big 4 accounting firm experience


The Accounting Manager will have or be:

• Expertise in understanding and preparation of financial statements according to GAAP/SEC (including XBRL)

• Experienced user of Workiva W-Desk filing software

• Experienced user of Equity Edge Online stock administration software

• Effective leadership and issue resolution skills

• Strong organizational skills with a focus on the organization and filing of supporting documentation

• Ability to effectively review and comment on the work of others

• Strong PC skills, including solid experience with standard Microsoft products and ability to use specialized financial reporting or other software

• Flexibility to work additional hours on an as needed basis to meet deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparation of research memoranda

• Ability to abide by company policies

• Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers
